Craig Leyland shows more integrity than his opposite number at LCC

Following the move from Theddlethorpe to Gayton Le Marsh and Carlton, East Lindsey District Council has withdrawn from the process of finding a site to dump Nuclear Waste.

Like LCC, ELDC has objected to projects that swallow up food-producing farmland. When the area of focus shifted to 940 acres of farmland at Gayton and Carlton, ELDC executives felt that they had been put in an intolerable position. They could not fight the industrialisation of farmland while facilitating a process that would do just that. The process can only continue if a "Principle Local Authority" is involved. Unfortunately The Executive of LCC has not shown the same level of integrity.
